GreenKing Turf supplies contractors, sports fields, golf courses, municipalities and resellers with certified grass seed blends, professional fertilizer and turf chemicals, erosion control, field maintenance products and ice melt. We blend and bag seed ourselves in Washington, Iowa, and we stand behind every bag.

We started in 2014 with one aim: to be the turf and lawn seed supplier contractors in the Midwest can rely on. As a certified seed blender we test germination and purity before anything is bagged, so a GreenKing mix is live seed matched to the job — not filler. From Washington's farmland to the suburbs of Iowa City we know the soils, the freeze-thaw and the timing, and the recommendations you get from us are grounded in what works on real sites.
Every order starts with what you are trying to accomplish and where: seeding a new field, repairing a thin lawn, holding a slope, keeping a lot safe in January. We match the product to the conditions, we show up with what you ordered when you need it, and we work with suppliers known for turf science rather than marketing — advanced coatings, cultivars bred for durability and formulations that perform season after season.

Grass seed
Certified blends for athletic fields, sod, lawns and shade — Kentucky bluegrass, turf type tall fescue, perennial ryegrass and fine fescue, mixed and bagged in Washington. Straight varieties and custom mixes matched to soil, drainage and light.

Season-long fertilizer, weed and insect control for sports turf managers: one early shot of Shaw's Turf Food with Acelepryn® and Dimension® handles crabgrass and grubs for the season, with SurfCote and XRT controlled release.
XRT
A patented polymer resin that releases nutrients with temperature — as it warms, release keeps pace with the turf — for up to 90 days, then breaks down into naturally occurring compounds.
UFLEXX®
A stabilized nitrogen that out-performs sulfur-coated ureas: more efficient, more versatile, and the backbone of many of our blends.
Turf Star RPR
65% RPR regenerating perennial ryegrass (patented determinate stolons) with 35% elite perennial ryegrass — ryegrass colour and quality that repairs itself.
RTF Tall Fescue
